My 5 step morning skin care routine

These five steps are:

 Step1 – CLEANSE WITH WATER ONLY

In the morning, I cleanse with only water, as I do a night cleanse too, where I remove all my makeup and grime, I also feel the product the next morning to be outspoken, my skin never looks so good when I cleanse with water in the mornings. If you are doubtful about your skin you can use a konjac facial sponge which is made up of konjac roots.  

Step2 – HYDROSOL (TONER) 

Following cleansing, I use toner to add water to my skin, the toner acts as a foundation for my skin. my hydrosol has a small amount of essential oils such as lavender, rose, and lemongrass, which help in penetrating the skin. 

Step3 – SERUM AND ACTIVES 

 Now is the time I call “ the do’ers”. Products that contain an ingredient – think salicylic acid – intended to achieve effect are considered “ actives”. They tend to be corrector and brightening products.

 A serum is applied first so that it gets absorbed into the skin. Then I like to put on my actives and let them settle onto my skin. 

Step4 – MOISTURIZE 

I then move on to moisturizing. I usually apply a heavy moisturizer with heavy facial oil. I hardly put creams on my skin as I feel my skin feels better when I use whole plant oil. I then massage by patting oil on my face with upward strokes. I tend to take a few minutes on this process. 

Step5 – SUN PROTECTION 

I always apply sunscreen and even recommend you apply it when you are stepping out of your house. I use a non-nano mineral sunscreen. it is both environmentally friendly and protects me from sun damage .
